Welcome to Spring Creek Commons — a locally-driven publication and gathering space for neighbors, churches, nonprofits, and small businesses in the Mission Valley and beyond.
If you’ve ever found yourself wondering what’s going on around here — what events are coming up, what the local churches are up to, or how you can support a nonprofit you didn’t even know existed — you’re not alone. That’s exactly why Spring Creek Commons was created.
There’s no shortage of news outlets in the Mission Valley. We’ve got our papers, our websites, and our social media groups. But what’s missing is a shared space — a true commons — where we can focus on what brings us together rather than what divides us.
Spring Creek Commons isn’t here to report the news. We’re here to highlight the heartbeat of our towns — from Arlee to Polson, and even up toward Big Arm. We’re a space where churches, nonprofits, and local organizations can share uplifting, practical, and community-minded content. Expect columns from local pastors, event highlights from the Chamber of Commerce, updates from groups like ARC or Safe Harbor, and reflections on everything from small-town living to history pulled straight from the archives.
You might find helpful information about pet vaccinations. Or a piece on spotting domestic violence and how to support someone through it. You might even read a poem, a devotional thought, or a story about how things used to be on Main Street in the early 1900s. It’s all fair game — as long as it helps build up the community.
Spring Creek Commons is the first of its kind, but we hope it’s not the last. It’s being produced by Gray Streak Media Group and will launch in both digital and print formats — the kind you can pick up at your favorite coffee shop, restaurant, or grocery store. We may eventually welcome sponsorships or advertising, but for now, we’re exploring ways for contributors to help cover the cost of their own columns and keep the Commons going strong.
If this sounds like something you want to be part of — whether that’s writing, sharing, or just staying in the loop — we’d love to hear from you. A submission form is available at springcreekcommons.org/contact.
